Since its first run in 1998, the WhistleStop Marathon has become a beloved Northwoods tradition, drawing runners from across the country to experience the stunning fall colors and crisp October air along the Tri-County Corridor. Starting in Iron River and finishing in Ashland, Wisconsin, the course follows the historic rail line that inspired its name, offering a flat, fast route with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes & forests.
